Bedford police officer, woman found dead in home

Posted: Updated:

Lawrence County - Indiana State Police say a Bedford police officer broke into his ex-girlfriend's home, shot her and then turned the gun on himself.

Officers found Kyle Brown, 36, and Kathryne Tucker, 29, dead of gunshot wounds at a home in the 1000 block of Trenton Circle in Bedford early Monday morning.

Police say the couple had recently gone through a break-up.

Tucker's two children, ages 9 and 14, were at school at the time of the shooting.

Indiana State Police are working on the case.
